Faculty of Best Advisory (FBA) is a registered Non- Profit Company (NPC) 2016/255757/08, in terms of the Companies’ Act, 71 of 2008, and a registered Public Benefit Organization PBO No. 930058745 in terms of the Income Tax Act, 58 of 1962 as well as a Non-Profit Organization in terms of NPO Act, 1997 with a national footprint in South Africa that aims to inform, empower, and uplift people through the provision of information ensuring that community at large has access to valuable information. FBA was established on the 30th of December 2012 and started operating in January of 2013. Core and central to our work is facilitating access of rural and township learners coming from low-income households to institutions of higher learning and improving their retention, success and completion thereof. FBA is also committed to bridging the existing technological and information gap in society.

FBA facilitates access of youth to institutions of higher education through programmes of career guidance and applications of matric learners, as well as for funding opportunities. When the students are in institutions of higher learning, they are offered mentorship support throughout their academic journey by senior students and professionals. In addition, FBA beneficiaries are exposed to entrepreneurship and leadership opportunities to be upskilled to eventually graduate as holistic human beings.

Since 2012 Faculty of Best Advisory (FBA), NPC has evolved from a five (5) volunteer’s initiative when it was formed in 2012 to a registered non-profit company and a public benefit organization with over 500 beneficiaries/volunteers in 20 different Institutions of Higher Learning across South Africa. FBA has also impacted over 10 000 high school learners from 130 plus partner schools, NGOs and Churches in Rural and Township schools across all 9 provinces of South Africa through our committed beneficiaries cum volunteers.
In the period 2013-2018, Faculty of Best Advisory has managed to facilitate access of about 500 students into 20 different institutions of higher learning in South Africa and abroad. During the 2017 and 2018 academic year, FBA achieved 95% retention across all institutions of higher learning.

In partnership with Universities, FET Colleges, NGOs, Churches, Schools, Government and the Private Sector, the institutions aim to reach out to 50 000 young people and facilitate
access of about 2000 rural and township learners from low-income households to institutions of higher learning and improve their retention, success and completion thereof by 2020.

2021 CSI PROJECT - NEW YEAR'S DAY COMMUNITY UPLIFTMENT

We initiated a jollification for the New Year by supporting a locally owned bakery in Soweto. We bought 100 loaves from Borotho Bakery and gave away the bread to an informal settlement around the area.
